Exploring Long-Term Stay Options in Thailand: Insights from the GTCC Workshop
On 20 November 2024, Mr. Andreas Seela, Associate at FRANK Legal & Tax, served as a featured speaker at the GTCC SME Focus Group workshop held at the Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok Sukhumvit 20. The event brought together 20 SME members for an in-depth discussion on Thailand’s immigration pathways for long-term stays.
Key topics included the Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visa, Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), Smart Visa, Permanent Residency (PR), and Citizenship. Mr. Seela provided clear, practical insights on eligibility, benefits, and application processes for each option, offering valuable guidance for individuals and businesses navigating these choices.
The interactive session allowed participants to address specific concerns and better align their goals with Thailand’s evolving immigration framework. Mr. Fabian Doppler, Managing Partner of FRANK Legal & Tax, also attended the workshop as one of the members, further emphasizing the firm’s engagement with clients and the broader business community.

Andreas Seela
Andreas primarily focuses on corporate/commercial, tax law, and real estate law. He previously worked for an international law firm in Germany and has experience in the Asian legal sphere. He holds a Master’s degree in business law and economics (LLM.oec.) and is currently working on his Ph.D. thesis at Chulalongkorn University in international law.
